BHC Elections This Thursday!

Black Honors Caucus Elections

This academic year is coming to a close, and we are currently looking for the next leaders of the Black Honors Caucus.

The Black Honors Caucus
was first created in 1972 to foster the matriculation and retention of Black students in the Honors College and at the university. We also thrive on providing a forum for diversity and discussion about our community's concerns. This year, we focused on the goals of quality events and membership retention. We have had enormous improvement in attendance to events because we planned them carefully and made sure they all aligned with our mission, created an impact on those in attendance, and were (hopefully) enjoyable. We hope our progress this year will inspire you to further the progress even more by serving on the executive board and making our organization even better and have higher regular attendance.

This year we had monthly executive board meetings, study halls, and GBMs. So we do not meet as often, but
because of that we pride ourselves on quality events. The executive board for next year may of course choose to have more frequent GBMs. You will also have the chance to plan your own event! This is a great leadership experience and you will develop skills with teamwork, professional development, and planning.
