Spring Break 2019: London Trip, 3 HONR Credits - Info 9/17

Dear Honors Students,

I’m the UMD history professor who leads the Spring Break Study Abroad course HONR 249B LONDON AND THE BRITISH EMPIRE.

This popular 3-credit course will next run over spring break (March 15-24) 2019. Earning three seminar credits in just 8-9 days is a pretty extraordinary opportunity, I hope you’ll agree! The course carries HONR credit and attracts students doing every possible major, including lots of scientists, engineers, and business majors.

The course explores the history of London via the lens of the rise and fall of the British Empire. I’ve put up a lot more information about the course here: http://globalmaryland.umd.edu/offices/education-abroad/program/10167

I’d love you to join me this spring break for this London adventure which includes enough free time to also visit Paris and Harry Potter Studios if you wish. There are only 16 spots and many have already been allocated.

Might there be a time on the morning of MONDAY 17 September that you could come by my KEY 2136 office to chat more about this course and why it’s so awesome and why you should take it? Please write me back at rjbell@umd.edu (don’t reply all) to let me know.

Cheers

Prof. Rick Bell
