“Indigenous Amazonian Cinema: An Evening with Mebêngôkre-Kayapó Filmmakers” - 2/22

What: The Kayapó Peoples govern one of the world’s largest intact tropical rainforests and are on the front lines of forest protection and conservation in the Amazon Region. Please join us in welcoming Bpunu Mebêngôkre and Pat-i Kayapó, two filmmakers from the Brazilian Amazon. Film screening & discussion will be accompanied by indigenous artisanal crafts available for purchase. Stop by to learn more about the Kayapó, the artists, and the UMD Study Abroad course in the Kayapo Territory.
