About Maryland Reads Day
Friday, April 29, 2016 from 7am—2pm in the Grand Ballroom in Stamp
The America Reads Program places University of Maryland students in 12 Prince George’s County elementary schools to work with first and second graders on developing reading and writing skills. On Maryland Reads Day, all the children who participate in the program will come to campus for the day to celebrate their accomplishments, engage in reading and writing activities, interact with college students, and experience a college campus.
Volunteers will help with event logistics and will interact with our America Reads 1st and 2nd graders throughout the day. Activities will take place in the Grand Ball Room in Stamp. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt on the day of the event.

Maryland Reads Day volunteer registration closes on
Monday, April 25 at 5pm! Sign up now!

All registered volunteers will get an awesome volunteer t-shirt at each event!
