Academic Achievement Programs: Now Hiring Tutors for Summer/Fall 2016 - Apps due 5/2

Are you interested in providing peer tutoring to your classmates at UMD? The Academic Achievement Programs (AAP) is currently recruiting for many summer and fall paid tutoring positions! AAP peer tutors gain exposure to teaching and facilitation fundamentals while providing peer-led small-group tutoring in a collaborative learning environment for first-generation college students and students in the campus’ most challenging courses. 

This is a paid position at $8.50-9.25/hour with a time commitment of 3-4 hours/week per course. The following courses have vacancies:

Summer 2016:

Fall 2016:

CHEM 271
CMSC 131
CMSC 132
CMSC 216
CMSC 250
CMSC 330
PHIL 100
PSYC 200
BSCI 189I
CCJS 105
AMST 101
GEOG 130
PHIL 140
PSYC 100
SOCY 200


Candidates must have a 2.75+ cumulative GPA and have received a B or higher in the course(s) for which you are applying to tutor.


 All positions are filled on a rolling basis and will require at least one in-person interview. Applications are due via email on/before Monday, May 2.
